I too am looking for information regarding the Dabbs book. A man online named Richard Dabbs has a copy! He was able to provide information on my Dabbs family mainly George Dabbs b. 1863 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. George's mothers name was Caroline Upchurch b. 1832, however, he was not able to give me any information on George's father. Family history indicated that George's fathers name was Aaron Dabbs unk. b.d. I would love to correspond with any Dabbs' whose families may have lived in or around the counties of Harris, Lamar, Morris, Titus, or Mt. Pleasant. I have lots of information on the Dabbs descendents but have hit a brickwall prior to 1870. This particular Dabbs family is African American but any information on slave holders would be equally appreciated.
