Looking to confirm the below and get additional information.
Info on the www shows Hampye Covert daughter of Teunis Covert married abt 1742 to Jeremiah Doughty born 1714.
They lived around Somerville, NJ, and Hampye died 1795 in Hector , NY.
Is this Teunis/Tunis Covert born abt 1690 a son of Lucas
Teunise Covert and Barbara Sprong ?
Children of Hampye and Jeremaih Doughty :

Nelly Doughty, born abt 1749
Sally Doughty, born May 1751 Somerville, NJ
Motchey Doughty, born Oct 1752
Edward ____ Doughty born 1753-1754
John Doughty born APR 1755 Somerville, NJ
Jennetje Doughty AUG 1756
Hampye Doughty SEP 1758 Somerset Co, NJ
Jacob Doughty 1759, Hillsborough, Somerset Co, NJ
Most of these children ended up moving from NJ to Hector/Ovid New York .
However perhaps two of the boys - the first unknown, and
Edward____Doughty went to Western VA and on to South Carolina with their uncle Jeremiah Doty born 1740 a son of John Doty.
John Doty/Doughty married Maritje perhaps a sister of Hampye........ Would like to know if some one knows if
this Maritje was also a daughter of Teunis Covert ?
The Maritje and John Doty family lived close to the Hampye and Jeremiah Doughty family in Somerset Co., New Jersey.
And as stated John and Jeremiah were brothers.

John born abt 1756

Margaret b. abt 1769 Somerset Co., New Jersey
The son above Jeremiah Doty/Doughty born 1740 did go South to western VA and on to Upper South Carolina, and died in
TN ca 1816.
My ancestor in Upper South Carolina, Joseph Doughty knew this Jeremiah well and they both have the Edward Doty ydna.
I can not find out the parents of my Joseph Doughty and my theory is that perhaps he is from the Hampye and Jeremiah Doughty line, and could be the Edward Doughty listed above being Edward Joseph Doughty.
Another part of the theory is that Edward's oldest sibling listed above as ____ Doughty is David Doughty who is another Doughty that shows up in SC with my Joseph and this 1740 Jeremiah.
The birth dates fit for David & Joseph to the dates in the list above and these families were very close and there seems to be nothing known about the history of these two in the list after birth........... so my theory is a long shot....... but i sure would like to know more about this
Covert family.... perhaps there is some information some one has that would help me prove or disprove.
One of the older boys of Joseph Doughty is a Jeremiah born 1777, and one of the older girls is a Rhoda..... Perhaps Rhoda comes from the Covert line....... maybe even a bible name for Hampye??
