Thanks Cathy, My computer hasn't been hooking up to the internet ( something loose inside, we can hear it when we jiggle the laptop) so I will be taking it in this Monday. For some reason, it decided to work this am so I am quickly answering e'mails. Someone from Australia e'mailed me to tell me that there is an Alexander shown as age 25 with Elizabeth with children in the 1841 Census in Scotland at Paisley Martyrs Parish in Scotland. This would make him aboun 25 years old (i.e. born in 1816) and although his death info in Mtl says 1812, this may in fact be the right person as they did move to Scotland, marry, have several children, and then come to Canada. Your John Colquhoun might be a relative as it seems to be the right time period of my family. I won't know until I find out if there are any records of Alexander's father. Thanks again for your help. If I find anything out I will let you know. Also what is this Elderhouse you referred to in your letter to me? Talk soon. Gail Notify Administrator about this message?
