I have my gggrandfather Alexander Colquhoun (1841 census lists him as Ag Lab) born in Ireland, emmigrated to Scotland, married Rebecca Wauchope (also Waker and Walker in various documents) on the 28th Jan 1837 at Abbey (Paisley), Renfrew, Scotland. They had three children at least there, two are listed in the 1841 Census with them. They emmigrated to Canada had more children and are buried in Montreal, Quebec. I have thought they must have had relatives in that area and am hoping your connection might be it. Do you have any info on this family? Thanks Gail p.s.
