What was very interesting was that it appears Thomas started off as a Police Constable. I wonder what happened to make him move to be a warehouseman and then to start work at the Sugarworks. On teh 1861 Census Thomas is listed iwth his wife Jemima, and his first three children Edward, Henry and Caroline aged 9, 6 & 2.

In 1851 - a year before the birth of their first child a Thomas Clutterbuck appears on the same page of the Marriage indexes for Sculcoates as Jemima Moody.

Thomas and his brother George are the sons of William and Esther Savage who were married in Cam in 1823. they had 4 daughters aswell, Hariet, Eliza, Elizabeth and Emma.
