That does indeed help, Fred, and thank you very much.

It helps me a great deal as I go through my ancestor's Civil War records to understand these terms and why certain things were done the way they were, so that I can better follow and understand the timeline of my ancestor's time in the war. Easier to picture it in my head, so to speak.
