Hi Joyce,
I'm helping a friend with her Cabral family. She Joan Cabral on her baptism record from Saint Leander Church and on her birth rec. she is Joan Proffer. He father on the baptism record is Manuel Jessie Cabral mother is Dollie Nealon. Manuel and Dollie lived in San Leandro about six or seven block from the church. I talked to a lady at the church and she is sending me some info on the only other record in the chuch of Anthony Cabral and Betty Austen?
Joan said she knows that there was a Charles Cabral that lived near them and her dad didn't get along with him. There was also a Jessie Cabral that her dad realy liked. He was a merchant marine. Manuel was a longshoremen in Oakland. He also may have been married to Maria Sylva?
If you or anyone ealse knows these people please let me know. Joan was in foster homes and knows very little of her family.
