Toe River is in Avery County,N.C. On maps you may see the river listed as Doe. Dave Cable is probally a descent of Caspar Cable (Caspar Goebell), as am I. The Cable family reunion is held on the second Saturday in August each year at Cranberry,N.C. There is a group that has done extensive work tracing the family tree who should be able to help you.
