Joseph Buswell was my distant Grandfather.
He came to Ossipee Gore from Bedford NH in 1789, and took over the mill on the beech River. He built the first two houses in Ossipee, both of which still stand just west of the river in Center Ossipee.
I got this info from the history of Ossipee 1785-1985, available from the library in Center Ossipee.
My Grandfather was Shirley Buswell, Great uncles were Issac and Ellis Buswell, Father was Robert R. Buswell.
Getting info beyond 1789 is seemingly impossible.
