I am researching this same Bradley line: Stephen, Abraham, Abraham, Leaming, then Aaron Bradley, b. 27 Aug 1762, who served during the Revolutionary War in Litchfield, CT.

Aaron had five siblings: Lucretia Bradley b. 12 Aug. 1760, Comfort Bradley b. 1766, Lucy Bradley b. 1767, Joseph Bradley b. 6 September 1770, and Anne Bradley, b. 30 November 1773. It appears that Lucretia and Aaron were born in Middletown where their parents were married, the middle two are unclear, and the final two were born in Litchfield. Leaming and Anna Parsons Miller Bradley moved to Litchfield around 1769.

Aaron married Loraine or Lorrin Abernethy, whose Abernethy ancestors were of Scottish descent. Aaron and Loraine had four children born in Litchfield: Horace Bradley b. 7 June 1788, Leaming Bradley b. 8 March 1790, Mary Ann Bradley b. 17 March 1795 and Maria Talmadge Bradley b. 29 Dec. 1805.

I have lots more information on the family in Litchfield and would be happy to share it with anyone interested.

I am specifically seeking more on the line descending from Horace Bradley who married Hannah Hawkins or Twichell [both names given in different records]. Their oldest son was Leaming Hawkins Bradley b. 10 Oct. 1808 in Litchfield and he married Mary Simons or Simonds on 19 Sept 1830 in Litchfield.

I am seeking the names of their sons, one of whom I believe is my ancestor. Leaming H. Bradley is found in Washington, CT, south of Litchfield in the 1840 Census with young males in his household the right age to be Sherman A. Bradley, b. 1835 according to his records in Wisconsin.

All replies, comments and requests welcome.
