I got an email from Pamela telling me he never was a Sir. The problem with family stories is that they get distorted over time, or people remember different things. I heard that we were exiled from England from my aunt who heard it from someone else and so on....
I am trying to do the family tree and then try to verify all the stories I keep hearing. Very frustrating some times.
