Candide Babin was married to my granduncle, Elzear Perreault. Candide's parents were Theodore Babin and Marie Poirier. Her maternal grandparents were Lazare Poirier and Adelle Forest. Lazare Poirier and Adelle Forest had a daughter, Marie Angelic Poirier, who married Elzear's brother, Joseph...my grandfather. So you can see that an aunt and a niece married into the Perreault clan. I have some early photos of this family and can offer some data on their lineage. I have a copy of Candide's birth certificate (Marie Adéle Candide Babin), born October 26, 1862 at St. charles de Captlan, Quebec, Chaleur Bay (Gaspe Penninsula) She died November 30, 1949 in Shakopee, Minnesota and was buried in Duluth, MN.
