I too am confused about the two David Babcock's. I am a descendant on one. One of the David Babcock's had a daughter Rebecca Babcock who married William Clark. One of their daughters was Catherine Clark, who married James Melville. James Melville and Catherine Clark had a son William Clark Melville. William Clark married Catherine Jones in Stanhope Ontario. One of William Clark Melville and Catherine Jones daughters was Ethel Melville. Ethel Melville married Henry Clinton Westbrook in 1901 and had a daughter Lillian Westbrook. Lillian Westbrook married Vinton Wester, and these are my parents. I am their daughter Bonnie (Wester) Connolly from St. Paul, Minnesota. If anyone wants more info or could clarify the two David Babcock's, that would be great. Bonnie Connolly
