He married Nancy Adaline Cline abt 1849 in Stoddard County. He was the son of William M. (Matthew?) Babb and Temperance Shipman who were the grandparents of Cherokee Bill. He appears on the 1850 Census in Castor Township, Stoddard County, Missouri, with his wife and son, William 11/12. This is all the information that I have at this time. Are you related? If you have any more info, I would really love to hear from you. I am correponding with members of this famiy and am in the process of writing a book about the family.
