Sorry to be a disappontment, Homer, but the Baads are related through my father, and his father. Margaret Stroup was the daughter of Henry and Louisa BAAD Stroup, she married Daniel H. Barrick in 1871. Margaret had a sister, Lucy, but I know very little about the Baads, other than what I have gotten from the census. There are several Baad tombstones in the cemetery across the street from St. John's Lutheran Church in New Bed-ford, Ohio, but I don't know given names. I will look closer the next time I am in Ohio.
Do you have any info about Louisa's parents, siblings or grandparents. According to the census she was from Wurtemburg Germany, but I have been tracing other lines, so this one was put on hold. Maybe we can connect.
Marlene
