I know your note was over a year ago, but I am just getting around to noticing it. My Aron's were also Jewish, but from multiple towns in Alsace, and before that some towns in Lorraine. Pierre-Andre Meyer, of the Cercle Genealogy de Juive has a great chart on the Aron Family going back to the 1660's. My great-great grand-mother was Celestine Aron, which he had listed as a dead end on his chart in the 1800's. In any event, there may have been some Aron Relatives in Germany and Switzerland.
