In the newspaper, Selma Free Press, published at Selma, Alabama, July 28, 1838:

The NASHVILLE WHIG announces the death of the last soldier of the French War in Canada, at the advanced age of 104 years. His name was John Lusk, of Warren County, Tenn., and a native of Staten Island, NY.

I have no interest in this family and only post this as a resource.
